This Veterans Day we honor our veterans by showcasing one of our very own. Mike Halus served in the U.S. Army for 23 years, where he wore many hats, ranging from infantry to artillery officer. His military service spanned across continents, with stints in Europe, Asia, and his final six years stationed in the Pentagon. In his interview Mike recounts his experiences as a young officer in Colorado, East Germany, and Vietnam. He displays his array of military honors pinned on uniform, taking time to elucidate the significance behind each one, followed by a dedication to his fellow veterans in the Asheville area and our country.
