What are a few of your primary responsibilities?

I work closely with new residents, assisting them with making decisions about their interior finishes and customizations to their new home.  I also coordinate with Maintenance and the construction team to ensure each residence is finished according to the resident’s specifications. Working closely with moving companies ensures a smooth transition of moving new residents into Givens Estates Independent Living residences.

What do you like about coming to Givens Estates every day?

Givens Estates Mission Statement of Improving lives through communities, services and outreach is something that is truly embraced by our company, our employees and our residents.  Working together, we create a welcoming home for residents and a welcoming, secure place of work for employees. I have a supportive management team, with caring coworkers and residents reward me with words of appreciation and thanks.

How is your job rewarding?

Selling a home and moving can be a stressful experience.  Working with new residents, their family members and internal departments, I help make their new home something for them to enjoy.  It’s heartwarming to hear someone tell me how happy they are that they’ve moved to Givens Estates, they love their new home and they wished they would have made the move sooner.  I hear it often and I know I’m in the right job at the right company!

What is a fun fact about you?

Melody grew up on a dairy farm in Mills River, NC and she is a proud native of WNC!
