Meet Christopher Snyder: Givens Estates Team Member of 12 Years
What better way to celebrate Administrative Professionals Day than to highlight an extraordinary member of our Administrative team?
Christopher Snyder has been a tremendous asset to Givens Estates. His thoughtful and dedicated service to the organization has not gone unnoticed. We asked Christopher to share a little about himself so you could get to know him a little better!
What are a few of your primary responsibilities?
Supervise the Reception team, support the Executive Director, special projects such as COVID-19 tracking or SharePoint implementation, producing the annual Disclosure Statement for the NC Department of Insurance, managing the Emergency Management plan, managing the Operations and Risk Management meetings and reports, work closely with the Ethics Committee, Inclusion Committee, Safety & Security Committee to monitor goals and progress.
What goals are you currently working toward achieving?
Project Management certification
What are some of your values and how do they align with the Givens Estates mission, vision, and values?
I really admire the Givens core values of Commitment, Caring, Courage, and Collaboration. These synergistic values are something I work to include in my personal and professional life but truly caring for others is the cornerstone on which I build other values.
What inspires you?
Kindness and humor in the face of adversity. We all face challenges, but I have found that those traits of kindness and humor help me overcome challenges time and time again.
Of what achievement or contribution to Givens Estates are you most proud?
Many team members I have hired have moved into other roles in the organization. It is a continued source of pride to know that those individuals have thrived professionally and added value to Givens Estates.
What attracted you to working at Givens Estates?
I knew that in Givens Estates I had found a professional home. I’ve been able to grow professionally with Givens Estates and have formed fulfilling relationships with residents and team members.
What do you like about coming to Givens Estates every day?
I work with a wonderful collection of colleagues and residents who motivate me to do my best and are truly grateful for my contributions. The organization is forward-thinking and embraces change even when that change is difficult.
How is your job rewarding?
Our work with residents can really improve the quality of life for residents in the short and long term. My role is ever-changing, and I always enjoy new challenges. Lastly, I am always grateful to my fellow team members.
What is a fun fact about you?
I have 2 fun facts, Stanley and Dexter … my 2 Boston Terriers who never fail to put a smile on my face. These 2 boys couldn’t be more different and always keep me on my toes.
