It was one president making a courtesy call to thank another president and her family for helping neighbors in a time of great need.

U.S. President Joe Biden recently spoke by phone with Leah Ashburn, president of Highland Brewing, and her husband Brock and her father, Givens Estates resident and Highland Brewing founder Oscar Wong.

Biden thanked them for contributions by Highland Brewing to the community in the aftermath of devastation left by Hurricane Helene. ABC News’ Asheville station WLOS-TV filed this report.
