Givens Estates welcomed Jennifer Compton as the new Director of Nursing at the Givens Estates Health Center. The Givens Estates Health Center is the senior life plan community’s skilled nursing facility. Jennifer has more than 20 years of experience in the healthcare industry.

Jennifer started her career in healthcare in Asheville where she served as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) in a long-term care setting. Since, Jennifer has been a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) and then ultimately became a Registered Nurse (RN).

After serving as a travel nurse, Jennifer returned to Asheville where her career first began. She held different roles and responsibilities during her time as a nurse and Jennifer is looking forward to leading  and teaching from all her experiences.

“I have always loved working with older adults,” Jennifer said. “After working in the healthcare industry for 20 years, my passion continues to be driven in the long-term care setting. I am very excited to be given the privilege to lead the nursing care team at Givens Estates Health Center. I feel it’s very important for those of us who have been working in this industry to lead, teach, and guide others who are just starting out their career paths in this setting.”
