Givens Communities was honored to serve as the presenting sponsor of the Asheville Symphony’s annual Symphony in the Park, a cherished community tradition that brought more than 10,000 people together in downtown Asheville on Sunday, September 6.
Held at Pack Square Park, the free outdoor concert officially launched the Asheville Symphony’s 2026-2027 season with an evening of music that celebrated the power of community and the arts. Under the direction of Music Director Darko Butorac, the program featured an inspiring mix of classical masterworks, beloved opera selections, Broadway favorites, popular hits, and memorable film scores that delighted audience members of all ages.
As presenting sponsor, Givens Communities was proud to welcome residents from Givens Estates, Givens Highland Farms, and Givens Gerber Park, who filled VIP tables near the front of the stage and enjoyed an unforgettable evening of music, fellowship, and community in the heart of downtown Asheville.
A highlight of the evening was the return of acclaimed vocalist Erica Gabriel, who performed selections from Porgy & Bess, The Phantom of the Opera, The Wiz, and more during her appearance with the Asheville Symphony.
