At Givens Estates Health Center and Wood Assisted Living, we are fortunate to have two exceptional social workers who embody the spirit of empathy, dedication, and community. Monica Green and Richard Provine have made significant contributions to our organization, and we are proud to recognize their efforts.

Monica Green has been a vital part of the Givens Estates Health Center team. Born and raised in Western North Carolina, Monica received her degree in Social Work from Mars Hill University in 2011. She has lived in Asheville for the past 10 years and has extensive experience working as a social worker in a medical setting prior to joining Givens. Monica’s goal in her daily work is to advocate for our residents and seek the best possible outcomes. Her empathetic approach and dedication to her profession makes her an invaluable asset to our team. In her free time, Monica enjoys close relationships with family and friends, trying recipes and craft projects found on Pinterest, and photography. We are pleased to have Monica at Givens and appreciate her commitment to serving our community.

Richard Provine has been with Givens Estates since 2010 and transitioned into his current role in 2015. Before joining Givens Estates, Richard was a high school band director in southeastern North Carolina. He was drawn to Givens Estates by the strong sense of community that is always present on our campus. In his role at Wood Assisted Living, Richard walks beside our residents and their families as they navigate the transition of moving into a long-term community. He educates and advocates for our residents to help them achieve the best quality of life possible. Richard’s daily joy is interacting with and being a resource for our residents. Outside of work, Richard is involved in scouting, music in his church, his children’s school band programs, and helping with his wife’s school choral program. He enjoys being out in nature and spending time with family. Richard’s dedication to our residents and his community spirit makes him an integral part of our team.
