Marion Givens and her husband, Dr. Maurice Givens were charitable people who donated to hospitals, universities and museums. Mrs. Givens treasured her summer home on Sweeten Creek Road in Asheville and, during her final years with the help of a few trusted advisors, arranged so that it would be developed into a retirement community. Which led to incorporation as a nonprofit senior living organization in 1975, in turn witnessing planned development, eco-friendly maintained landscape and spacious retirement homes, providing safety and comfort while you discover what it is you really want in life.
