On June 2nd, fourteen employees from Givens Estates and Givens Highland Farms participated in the 2018 Asheville Chamber Challenge 5k. These employees represent various departments around our campuses, including Wellness, Human Resources, Grounds, Programming, and others.

The team did an awesome job, with all participants finishing with competitive times. Some members were even able to finish the 3.1 mile course that runs through the very hilly Montford area, in just over 25 minutes.

Oftentimes, residents of Givens also participate in the Challenge. The race is one of many opportunities that gives both residents and staff an exciting and fun break from the everyday routine, and also allows for comradery across the community.
