Givens Estates welcomed Robert Underwood as the new Director of Health Services for the senior life plan community.

Robert is a native of Asheville, North Carolina with a passion for working with the aging population. He started his career here at Givens Estates in May 2008 as a Dining Services team member. He continued in this position for 10+ years during his time in college. Robert obtained his Bachelor of Science degree in Athletic Training from East Carolina University, and he obtained his Master of Science degree in Occupational Therapy in 2018 from American International College in Springfield, Massachusetts.

Robert returned to North Carolina and began working as an Occupational Therapist at a skilled nursing facility in Forest City. During that time, Robert advanced his career to become the Director of Rehabilitation Services, and then obtained his licensure to be a Nursing Home Administrator. Robert has rejoined Givens Estates as the Health Services Director. Robert looks forward to collaborating with the staff and residents.
